Here We Are.....

I am such a slacker when it comes to blogging. I think my life has been NON STOP for the past 3 months. So I apologize for the gigantic story book that is about to follow & PS-none of these are in order....dang it. Anyway enjoy my novel everyone!

DADS BIRTHDAY!

We celebrated my Dad's birthday a couple of weeks ago. On the menu: Homemade Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Baked Beans, Pasta Salad, Chips and Dips and Spice Cake for dessert. Sooo yummy. I cooked the food and everyone ate it. That's such a good sign huh? My Dad turned 26....or 48. He says he's only 26 but we all know the truth. He's a great guy & I love hanging out with him and my little sister. I love that we are father/daughter but have also become friends. I sure hope he enjoyed his birthday. I was so busy cooking and cleaning up after everyone that I didn't take to many pictures. Anyway, Dad I hope you had a fabulous birthday with many more to come. Thanks for being so great to all of us. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.

My dog Tuff & my nephew Kayson. Tuff was so great with Kayson. They played for a good hour and it was so cute to watch them together. Kayson's laugh is so contagious & I loved hanging out with him.

So precious.

Fun at the State Fair!
I love the State Fair & this year was even better because our good friends Buc & Kellie invited us to go with them and their cute kids. I was so excited because the fair is so much more fun when your with kids. The weather wasn't so great. It rained for a minute but we were under a tent eating FUNNEL CAKES so we didn't care. (By the way, I'm not a fan of Funnel Cakes but I had to try them.) They definitely weren't everything I had hoped for. We went down the big yellow slide, looked at all of the booths & of course watched all of the people. Good times. My favorite part was spending some quality time with Jake. I think he and I have been apart every weekend since August. Why you ask....IT'S HUNTING SEASON. Of course I could go with him but I have had something going on EVERY WEEKEND. Don't tell him but I kind of miss him when he's gone. :) It was such a nice relaxing day & of course we love hanging out with our friends.

WATCHING KARLEE CHEER!

My little sis is a cheerleader this year & I can't begin to explain how much I LOVE watching her do her thing. She's so great at what she does & I think she has a blast when she's out there on the field. I love that she's doing things I never did in High School. I'm envious of her ambition & positive attitude & I hope she knows how much I love her.

KEITH URBAN IN CONCERT!

What can I say about this night besides AMAZING! The Keith Urban concert ROCKED. He is so amazing and beautiful. My friend Chelsey & I ordered tickets on a spur of the moment kind of thing in January I think. Needless to say I completely forgot until a couple weeks before the concert and it was like Christmas when I remembered the tickets. Does that tell you how many dang concerts I've attended this year? Sheesh I can't even remember who I bought tickets to. It was such a great time. We had awesome seats & Keith put on the BEST show. I definitely recommend his concerts.

Keith walked through the crowd to get to his small stage in the back and as he walked by there was so much pressure on the gate that it collapsed. CRAZY! I had to take a picture.

Camping Over Labor Day!

I went camping with Jake over Labor Day. We had a lot of fun although I'm not as laid back as I use to be for some reason. I worry about everyone. I have to make sure there's enough food for the whole camp, I have to make sure everybody is warm and has a place to sleep etc....I wish I was more carefree like I use to be. I don't know why small things like that change as we get older....part of growing up maybe. Needless to say I did have fun. It was VERY relaxing & I got to enjoy some great company. We have the greatest group of friends.

CAMP CHAIR-AJ carved this camp chair for everyone. It has a cup holder and a place to put your plate for your food. I had to have the guys model it for me.

So as you can see we have been busy. Jake's hunts are almost over. I'm so glad he enjoys something so much but I really have missed him every weekend. I can't believe summer is over. I am loving the fall weather though. I love the smells & the colors. I can't say that I'm excited about SNOW but I'll live I'm sure. I have a very eventful October & before I know it CHRISTMAS will be here. Time does fly. I wish it would slow down for us. Anyway, again I apologize for this novel. I promise I won't wait so long to post next time. Have a great week!
