A Much Needed Date Night!

Jake has been hunting pretty much every weekend since August. Of course I am always welcome to go with him and truth be told I wish I didn't have so much going on so that I could have gone with him more and enjoyed some time in the mountains. BUT-I had something going on every weekend he was gone. Family stuff, concerts, doctors appointments etc....It NEVER ends. We don't mind because it gives us both a chance to get caught up on things we enjoy but we both miss each other like crazy! So last weekend was our "ENGAGEMENT ANNIVERSARY," or in my eyes just another day to celebrate & have a wonderful night out with my hubby. I decided to surprise him and take him on a date for once. So I made reservations at The Melting Pot. I was a little nervous because Jake & I both have our favorite places to eat so this was a little out of our loop but I've heard great things about this place so we went. It was so much fun. The Melting Pot is a fondue atmosphere & we had such a blast. It was pricey and I probably won't go back for dinner but I will definitely go back for DESSERT. The dessert was AMAZING. Afterwards we were supposed to meet up with our friends for a Haunted House but Jake & I were both so full we opted to just stay home and watch a movie. That didn't last to long because we were both asleep in minutes. It was a great night with the best husband in the world. I've had some emotional issues the past few weeks and Jake has put up with me and my emotional roller coaster self. I am so blessed to have him in my life. He's the BEST!!!!
