Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day was CRAZY for me. I had 7 pies to make. 5 for the Frehner family & 2 for my Mom. I think I spent 6 hours in the kitchen & by the last pie I didn't want to look at another box of pudding or whip cream for the rest of my life. They all turned out great & I think they were yummy. When the pies were finished I got ready, ran Jake to his Mom's house, went back to my Mom's house, took my Dad a plate of food & then back to the Frehners for dinner. I was literally exhausted and now I know how my Mom feels cooking ALL DAY LONG! It was a very busy day and I think next year I will stick to one house & not worry about anything else but that yummy Thanksgiving Dinner.

By the time I got to the Frehner house I was so tired that I only took a few pictures. I don't know what I was thinking.

My mother in law fixed a wonderful dinner & Jake's whole family was together this year. Even his Oma from Germany. It was so nice to spend the holiday with the family. We played Uno after dinner & I'm not so great at card games but I had fun.

My grandparents came to my Mom's house for dinner & I was kind of bummed that I wasn't able to spend time with them. We took some pictures before I left.

This is where Jake sat pretty much all day. Thank goodness for Thanksgiving Day football. Go Cowboys.

I wasn't so great at updating my blog about what I was thankful for throughout the month of November but I am so blessed for everything I have in my life. I have a great job, great family & great friends. I'm thankful for my house & the things I have in my house. I'm thankful that I have great friends who I know I can count on. I'm so thankful for my family. In laws and all. I'm thankful for the time I get to spend with my family. This has been an OK year & I can't believe it's December already. I've started Christmas shopping & I think I'm almost finished. Thanks goodness. Jake & I will be in Vegas next weekend with our friends and I cannot wait. I know we are going to have such a great time. I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Omas and Opas are the best! My husband is German and the German relatives are a hoot! Good job on taking on the pie making task! You are amazing!
