Lions & Tigers & Bears * OH MY!

Memorial Day weekend was awesome. We are usually camping for this holiday but this year we stayed home and I am glad we did. The weather wasn't perfect and Saturday the wind blew like it was going out of style. Did I ever mention I dislike the wind? Anyway, one of my co-workers & friend invited me to the zoo with her daughters, grandson and granddaughter. Can I just say I had the BEST time and wish I could have a day like that every weekend. We had so much fun. I borrowed my nephew for the day and I'm sure my brother and his wife didn't mind. It gave them a break. What a great time we all had. I am so excited to do more things like this all summer long.

My nephew was ecstatic about the train ride. Who knew it was this easy to entertain a 5 year old? He was so giddy when we boarded the train. It just melts my heart to spend time with him. Especially when we are both having a blast.

And I'm so glad we got to spend the day with these people above & their sweet mama. They are great friends to have that's for sure.

After the zoo, Kayson & I stopped at my grandparents to visit. Kayson was hesitant to go inside. I think it makes him nervous that my Grandma can't walk or do things on her own and has to be in a wheelchair. Who knows...anyway I got him inside and he was so eager to see Grandpa's garden. He just took my Grandpa's hand and said, "Lets go see the garden." I loved it. I snuck out and luckily had my camera. I snapped a few pictures of these two in the garden. My nephew looks just like brother in this picture. What a great picture to have.
Saturday I went with my Dad to watch my other nephew play baseball in Lehi. Braxton rocks at playing ball. I get so into the games. We were there all day and the weather was horrible. Windy and cloudy (no pics because I was frozen under 2 blankets pretty much the whole day) Oh well, we had fun anyway! Jake went to Eagle Mountain all weekend to shoot archery with a friend. He loves doing that hence the reason I have very few pics of he and I on the weekends. Sunday I woke up and did yard work literally ALL DAY LONG. Can I just say that my body feels like a 98 year old woman today. I can hardly walk because my legs and back are so stiff. I guess that's part of being a home owner and even though I complain a little, I probably wouldn't change it for anything in the world! HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE & THANKS TO THE TROOPS THAT KEEP THIS PLACE SAFE. What a great day to honor those people......
