November = Being Grateful

I love this month.
I love that the leaves really change colors.
I love the smell of Pumpkin Pie and Turkey in the oven.
I love that people feel more grateful than other months.
I love the smell of the night when I walk outside and it's FREEZING cold.
I love all of it.

Thanksgiving is my favorite. Cooking with my Mom is the best. I was never into cooking. When I was younger I would go to my friend Marissa's house and we would drink some adult beverages at 10:00 a.m. and attempt to make our Thanksgiving pies. I can't say I'm proud of that tradition that we use to have but I can say that those were memories I will never forget and we had so much fun. Ohhh to be young and crazy again...I had fun with that crazy girl.
Anyway, I grew up and eventually realized what was important in life.
Cooking Thanksgiving with my Mom is awesome. She's the best cook in the world. Being married is sometimes a struggle around the holidays because I feel like Jake and I have to juggle our time between everyone. Thanksgiving use to be an all day event. We would wake up, I would help my Mom cook, we would eat their and then go to Jake's Mom's to eat some more and eat dessert. By the time we got home we felt as large as an elephant and vowed to never do it again. But we did for a couple years.
I love my family traditions so it's been quite hard for me to give in and learn Jake's family traditions.

I love his family and I LOVE their traditions so now we just switch years and everything is easier.
Ahhhhhh I love when we can relax on holidays and actually enjoy family and friends. It makes things so much more great.

This year I have lots to be grateful for. When I look back I get angry that I am now faced with infertility issues but when I look at the bigger picture, I have lots of love in my life, a great husband who tries and tries to be there for me, amazing family. All sides are wonderful. I love spending time with Jake's family and hearing the kiddos yell and scream and cry. It's my favorite. It makes my Sundays better. I love spending time with my Mom. Since she's moved to St. George I miss her more everyday but I enjoy our time together so much more now. I love hanging out with my Dad and his girlfriend. We always have lots of fun together, lots of laughs and get to do lots of exciting things. I love my time with Jake. I love when we have no where to be. I love when we can sit on our couch {which isn't often} and just veg.
I'm grateful for my job, my house, my car, my friends and co-workers, my health,
my health insurance,
{yes this is something I'm so grateful for}
and so on.....You get the picture I'm sure.
So happy November!!!!
