4TH OF JULY FUN & SUNSHINE

We had so much fun over the 4th of July weekend. I love that holiday. It's my favorite & I love celebrating all weekend long. I'm so glad the sun was shining so that we could have some fun outside. Friday night we went to the Riverton parade to see my little sis. She's on the Riverton cheer team this year & she was walking in the parade. My nephew Kayson had never been to a parade & he was having a blast. It was so fun to watch him get so excited. He LOVED the cops on their motorcycles & he was blowing the beauty queens kisses.

My nephews & niece. I claim the two little ones as my family. :) They are my "brothers" kids & they are adorable. Braxton is teaching Kayson how to catch the candy. We told Kayson to stand behind the white line to catch the candy so he walked up and stood with his arms straight out. We were laughing so hard.

Cary & Jake looking cute with their umbrellas. Ha Ha It was soooo hot. Almost miserable! But I couldn't complain because we've had rain almost everyday for a whole month.

Bailey & Kayson looking pretty relaxed in their chairs. I think they were tired from the sun & trying to catch all of the candy.

The actual 4th of July is ALWAYS a busy day for Jake & I. Jake's Mom has a fun BBQ & the guys have their tank wars. This year was extra special because Jake's brother & his family were in town to celebrate. We love when Tim & Anny bring the kids & come hang out with us. Jake & his brothers & sister have a blast playing poker together. I can never grasp the concept so I just watch & play with the kids.

My hubby with his tanks. He & I drove to Wyoming to find some cool tanks so that we could win everyone. Jake had so many. He looks forward to this every year.

That was our 4th of July. I can't wait until next year. :)
Last weekend Jake & I headed to Yuba to do a little camping with my family. Jake was super excited to take our trailer out although our air conditioning isn't working. Thanks Rod for selling us a broken trailer. :) Anyway, regardless of the heat in our trailer it was a fun weekend. I love spending my summer days on the lake with the wave runners. Our trip was even better because Mel & Brinn showed up. It's been a while since Brinn & I have hung out & I've missed her. Plus her little girl Brooklynn is fun to play with. She's getting so smart & is talking a ton. I love having conversations with her. It makes me smile.

The weather cooperated with us until Saturday. Sun was shining, water was warm & then comes a HUGE black cloud full of CRAZY, CRAZY wind & huge raindrops that hurt when they hit your cheek. I love the rain but the wind was a little scary. Everyone had their awnings out on their trailers. The picture above is my brother & his friend trying to hold my brothers awning down through the wind storm. I had to get a picture.

This was my step dads trailer. He thought he would wait out the storm but it looks like he lost that battle. It took A LOT of us to hold his awning down through the wind storm. We were afraid if we tried to roll it up it would just blow right off the trailer. We all stood there for a good 20 minutes until we could finally put his awning away. I had to get a picture of this too although I WAS helping you just don't see me in these pictures. Ha Ha :)

The guys turned the whole wind storm into a great reason to sit on the trailer & drink beer. Shane walked out with a plastic bag around the top of his body and his son's John Deer blanket on his head. We were cracking up. Leave it to him to make everyone laugh.
The boats in the water turned up on the beach thanks to the lovely wind. After the storm passed we had about 20 people from the whole beach helping us push my brothers boat back into the water. It was awesome but I didn't have my camera so I couldn't take a picture but it was pretty amazing to see how many people cared enough to help us out. So in return we helped them get their boats off the beach.

My step Dad & brother after the storm. They decided to get a little crazy.

Later that night the kids put on a dance show for us. My nephew makes me laugh so hard. They were all so serious about their dance moves.

Brooklynn & Brinn-Love these two SOOOO much.

What a great weekend. I feel like I have so much going on right now. Always busy but I can't complain. This weekend I am taking my cute Mama to the George Strait concert & hopefully the sun will stay out on Friday so I can take my sis to the waterpark. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July.
