Jake's amazing Dad turned 70 years old a couple of weeks ago. His sister had asked me to help plan a surprise party for him before my surgery and I happily agreed. Then my surgery didn't go as planned and I had little time to get a party thrown together but it all turned out better than we expected and his Dad enjoyed being the star for a weekend. My father in law is a man of few words but he sure loved being with his family and friends this weekend & we enjoyed seeing him happy and content.
Jake's brother Tim & his wife Anny surprised us all and booked a short trip to Utah for the surprise party. It was soooo great to have them here with us. There kids are growing up so fast and I hate that they aren't closer so we can be a part of that but we have so much fun when they come from California to see us. Tim & Anny showed up at my Mother In Laws house on Friday night and took all of us to dinner. Good food & good company!
