Breakfast On The Go

As I was browsing on Pinterest the other night, the hubby and I came across the Breakfast on the go photo/blog. What a GREAT idea. I try to "guide" my husband towards the healthier meals in life. We eat junk, there's no mistaking that, Jake's FAVE drink is Mountain Dew. Not just one....3 times a day, & I love my coffee {not the normal I'm gonna brew it myself but the expensive 1,000 calories}. Sometimes I do try to think of creative meals that are somewhat healthy and delicious. When we found this we were stoked to try it. I'm not a huge breakfast fan but I have pills I have to take daily and therefore I have to eat something in the a.m. So we tried it and can I just tell you these cute little breakfast on the go meals were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

{don't mind my EXCELLENT food photo skills. they are horrible}

I changed the recipe slightly by not using Greek Yogurt but using low fat Vanilla.
-RECIPE-
medium sized mason jars
1 cup of yogurt {your choice}
a handful of fresh fruit
a handful of Granola
a drizzle of honey if you prefer.
pour yogurt into mason jar, had the handful of fruit, a drizzle of honey if you like, and add the granola on top so it stays crunchy. Seal with the lid and pop in the fridge.
I'm not big on measuring. Can you tell?
These things were heaven. I made 5 at a time because that's how much yogurt I had enough for. I had extra fruit because we bought at Costco and I had extra Granola. Five jars were perfect. The fruit wasn't soggy, the flavor rocked and it was an awesome breakfast.
filling, fast, healthy and easy.
Plus they were a hit with Jake & even some guys at work.
Enjoy!
